Part-Task and Procedure Trainers

Part-Task Trainers (PTT) and Integrated Procedure Trainers (IPT) should ensure maximum training efficiency with minimized costs. The design and development of a PTT or IPT is therefore a challenge which requires specific knowledge of the operations to be trained.

The software developers at AC&S have designed a modular architecture for the development of the trainers and simulation development which enables the integration of re-usable components. To ensure a certain degree of adaptability, all components use standard interfaces including ARINC 429, ARINC 424, CORBA and Java Beans. Adapter modules provide the appropriate connection for the integration of standard software, flight simulators and other simulations.

The knowledge and expertise of AC&S enables detailed replications of controls and indicators and the realistic simulation of system behaviour to be combined with the design and control of realistic training scenarios. The exercises generated by the Subject Matter Experts build successively on one another and enable the training participant to gain extensive capabilities in a risk free environment, even before flight training or before starting maintenance work on expensive training equipment.

AC&S can replicate the functions of on-board systems realistically, irrespective of whether these are standalone, connected systems or even complete multi-crew environments. The forward-thinking design enables both individuals as well as a whole flight crew to be trained. Complete missions or individual tasks can be carried out using the same modules.
